The role of education in human resource development

The only people needed in this vast world are acquaintances, countries, passports, visas to travel abroad. Due to globalization, there is no difficulty in getting travel visa for qualified people. In the age of globalization, all activities are being carried out under commercial activities. In such a commercial competition, every country wants to put its country above all. The main objective of the competition is to reduce production costs or ensure higher production at the same cost. Human resources are at the center of all production systems. And that is why the demand for quality human resources is global. The demand for export of human resources in international trade is increasing as the demand for qualified persons is increasing. In such a situation, many countries are exporting human resources by educating the people of their country in higher knowledge, science and technical education. And in such a situation, all human resource creation activities are being disrupted due to epidemics like Corona. Bangladesh is no exception.

Although Bangladesh could not take part in the start of human resource export, at present about one and a half crore people out of about 160 million people of Bangladesh are working abroad. It is to be noted that the foreign exchange position of Bangladesh Bank is satisfactory compared to the demand even in the current global epidemic due to their hard earned money. However, if the quality of education of our children could be kept close to the international standards, then on the one hand the amount of foreign exchange in the hands of Bangladesh Bank could be more, on the other hand our children's work environment could be improved and family life could be comfortable. Because most of our expatriates are working abroad as laborers.

Speaking at the recent 40th General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Bangladesh Education Minister said, "Bangladesh wants to be a role model for quality education in the world." To this end, the government is working to bring more reforms in the education system. 'After the release of the news, I am optimistic like all citizens of Bangladesh. However, the current reality of Bangladesh is different. Despite many long-term efforts by the government, the rate of education has not been as expected, and an epidemic like Corona has been added.

The education system is the most affected by the epidemic in the world today. For a long time, the educational institutions have been forced to stop their educational activities. Bangladesh is no exception. According to the latest order of the Ministry of Education, the educational institutions will remain closed till February. There may be arguments for and against the decision. Just as an epidemic does not endanger one's life under any circumstances, it is important to have a clear plan for dealing with post-Corona reliance. So that the human resources of a developing country like Bangladesh do not lose the competition in the world market under any circumstances. Since the education system in Bangladesh is not so developed, that is why the qualifications of our children in the world market are not so much. In such a situation, during the epidemic, in the opinion of all, we should continue the work of creating human resources with the right decision in the education system. If the education system in Bangladesh could have been better planned and managed than in other countries during the Corona period, then in the days to come, the social status of our children would have improved and the country's foreign exchange reserves would have been relatively higher. The demand for human resources in Bangladesh could increase if the quality of education is improved in the Corona-North world competitive war. Remember, one of the main sources of economic development is human resources. And its quality is not satisfactory compared to the demand of the world market. Converting a child into an asset is a long-term task, which, given the current socio-economic situation in Bangladesh, cannot or will not be possible for almost half of the people. Thus, the responsibility of the government has increased in the present situation.
